Jeter to Run for House Seat 92

|

Charles
Jeter announces his candidacy for the
North
Carolina House of Representatives 92nd District

Huntersville,
NC:  Charles Jeter, a four-term member of Huntersville’s Board of Commissioners, announced today that he is filing to run for North Carolina’s State House of Representatives District 92 Seat.  Jeter, a Republican, will be at the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections at the beginning of this week to officially file for his candidacy.

When making his announcement Mr. Jeter said, “It’s about creating jobs.  I think that if you look around the landscape of the new 92nd District, and North Carolina as a whole, I am uniquely qualified to serve the residents of the 92nd District as I have a great deal of experience as a legislator in serving on the Huntersville Town Board and in creating jobs in the private sector as a small business owner.”  Through companies he founded and managed, Mr. Jeter has created more than 33 jobs in Mecklenburg County since 2008.  “That combination of understanding how the political process works and understanding how to put people to work is the kind of leadership we need in this district and in Raleigh.  Being an effective leader is not about pointing out the problems, it’s about finding and implementing solutions to those problems.  My track record proves that I can do just that.”

Charles Jeter is serving his fourth term on the Huntersville Town Board.  Charles, his wife Jennifer and their three children reside in Huntersville, NC and are members of Davidson United Methodist Church.  In addition to his elected position, Jeter also serves on the Board of Directors of the Arts and Science Council and the Board of Directors for The Hugh Torrance House & Store.  Mr. Jeter is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce, Visit Lake Norman, the Huntersville School Advisory Committee, the Lake Norman Transportation Committee, and the Centralina Council of Government, the Highway 73 Council of Planning and the United Way of Central Carolinas – Mooresville/Lake Norman.
