Mitt Romney Wins NMRW Straw Poll
Huntersville,
N.C. – (Feb. 13, 2012) – In a presidential straw poll vote taken Monday night at a meeting of the North Mecklenburg Republican Women (NMRW) the results were as follows:
38 – Mitt Romney
31 – Rick Santorum
16 – Newt Gingrich
11 – Undecided
10 – Did not vote
2 – Ron Paul
1 - Thom Tillis (Write-in, guest speaker)
1 – “Hanging Chad”
NMRW meetings are held on the second Tuesday at NorthStone Club, 15801 NorthStone Drive, Huntersville, N.C. 28078. All men and women are welcome. A Mix and Mingle is also held the Wednesday the week after the main meeting, this month on February 22, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hickory Tavern, 9526 Birkdale Crossing Drive, Huntersville, N.C. 28078.

i was slightly heartened by the headline until I read that someone voted for Hanging Chad and that 47 voted for one the Big Government Pay to Play twins. Just how much wine is served at these meetings?

I think this can correctly be called an “informal” poll, anyone who happened to attend could vote. I noticed the YR’s are requiring membership to vote in their poll tomorrow night. I guess that will be a “formal” poll.

I predict a Ron Paul win…maybe Mitt. Depends on how “young” they really are…Wonder how Rick “separation of church and state makes me want to throw up” Santorum will fare?
