Romney Falls Flat
The election results yesterday are wake-up calls on a number of fronts. It is a reminder of what so many of us know: Mitt Romney is simply not liked by nor is he trusted by the conservative base of the Republican Party. In fact, if you look at the numbers, the better Republicans know Romney; the less they like him.
How else do you explain the Colorado caucus results. In 2008 Romney won Colorado, but yesterday lost decisively to Santorum. The state should have been a slam dunk for Romney; instead, he lost by a substantial margin. In Minnesota, where Romney enjoys the support of popular former Governor Tim Pawlenty he managed to lose so badly, that he finished third behind Santorum and Ron Paul. Missouri saw Santorum win by a two-to-one margin over Romney.
That inevitable spin from Team Romney we’ve heard for so long simply is not true. Looks like the fat lady has not even begun to warm up. This thing is far from over. Who knows, maybe Republicans will nominate a conservative after all?

Remind me again, Jeff…
What’s “conservative” about NCLB?
What’s “conservative” about Medicare Part D? And its $7,000,000,000,000.00 unfunded liability?
What’s “conservative” about raising the debt ceiling? And then raising it again? And again? And again? And again?
What’s “conservative” about opposing Right To Work?
Tell us, Mr. Katz, about this great “conservative”.

what ‘great conservative’? – the only claims I read into Jeff’s column is that the GOP’s conservative base loathes Romney and that Santorum’s hat trick possibly slowed down the train wreck to coronate a RINO incarnate.
