Activists to Elected Leadership: Honor Your Oaths and Nullify Now
For weeks now, you and I have been pressuring Governor-elect Pat McCrory and the leadership in the NC General Assembly to push back against ObamaCare implementation in North Carolina.
I told you about the $73.5 million in federal ObamaCare bribe money that outgoing Governor Bev Perdue accepted in November, and the need for Pat McCrory, Thom Tillis, and Phil Berger to return it.
I told you about the dozens of other states like Maine, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and South Carolina that have refused to accept federal bribe money to implement a state-run ObamaCare Exchange in their states.
I told you how our message has been picked up by other conservative voices in NC. Carolina Journal has begun to put pressure on McCrory.
So has the NC Republican Party Executive Committee.
Yet through it all, aside from a couple of vague references to “studying the issue” and “doing some homework,” Pat McCrory and NC General Assembly leadership have greeted these calls for non-cooperation with President Obama’s healthcare takeover with deafening silence.
Since your phone calls, emails, and other pressure seem to have Republican leaders straddling the fence, it’s time to take our message right into their backyards.
On Wednesday, January 9th, the NC General Assembly will convene its 2013 session. To coincide with legislators’ return to Raleigh, conservative grassroots activists will gather at Halifax Mall to send a loud and clear message to our state leaders:
HONOR YOUR OATHS, AND NULLIFY NOW.
Join us as we hear from speakers such as radio host Bill Lumaye, Founders’ Truth creator Dr. Greg Brannon, NC State Rep. Larry Pittman, former NC State Rep. Glen Bradley, and Congressman Walter Jones as they discuss the meaning of an oath to uphold the U.S. and N.C. Constitutions, the power inherent in the 10th Amendment, and the importance of stopping ObamaCare in its tracks at the state level.
The rally will begin at 12pm at 300 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. Admission is free to all.

ObamaCare can still be stopped by the simple act of the States exercising their 10th Amendment rights to nullify laws which exceed the authority granted in the U.S. Constitution. It’s up to each of us to pressure our state leaders to show a little spine and honor their oaths to protect us from federal overreach.

I’m as middle income as they come and since Obama has taken office, I’ve paid more in Federal taxes than ever before and this year will see my yearly income fall nearly $5,000 from all of the taxes going up and health insurance costs due to Obamacare and tax changes.

Why this clown kept getting re-elected is beyond me. Yeah, Romney was about as exciting as a blank sheet of paper, but the electorate today seems to be looking about as deep into the issues as they are looking for the next Twitter. That’s about a nanosecond.

If memory serves there are about 7 million eligible voters in NC, do not mistake even 1,000 people showing up for a “ground swell” of anything. We need to spend the next two years “enlisting” people to get of the couches and participate in our Democracy, both in NC (68% turnout) and nationally (57% turnout).

I’m still waiting for someone to explain where we stand legally and procedurally because of Gov Perdue committing the State to the “hybrid” state/federal healthcare exchange. Before I start attacking my State Leaders I want to know what their legal options are. I’m waiting for somebody to tell what that is.
