NC Sheriff Assault Caught on Video
The following video is the account a North Carolina man who lost over 2 years of his life serving time in prison on a false accusation and the subsequent harassment that he has encountered from local government officials since being cleared of any wrongdoing by the North Carolina Court of Appeals and released from prison.
After about the 36-minute mark, there is footage which shows the Lincoln County Sheriff, David Carpenter, and several high ranking officers as well as campaign supporters surrounding and assaulting the subject of the documentary, Anthony Huss. Huss says that the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department has refused to conduct any internal investigation of wrongdoing on their part relating to their original investigation which wrongfully sent him to prison, and that the department grew more agitated with each of his attempts to obtain accountability, resulting in a series of hostile encounters.
