Save CMC-Union From Majority GOP Commissioners

|

Submitted by Oscar Harward

In our own community and all across America, a majority of taxpayer are screaming out at President Barack Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, as these three leaders and their majority Democrat Party following has crammed ObamaCare down our throats.

On the local level in Union County, NC, we have three Republican Party Union County Commissioners; Chairwoman Kim Rogers, Vice-Chairwoman Tracy Kuehler, and former Chairman Lanny Openshaw who are determined to cram the sale of Carolina Medical Center-Union down the throats of Union County citizens. Any political poll will show an overwhelming majority of citizens objecting to this proposed sale of CMC-Union.

We, as residents of Union County, are mostly pleased with our CMC-Union healthcare facility from all within our community. All wish to see our entire healthcare system continue to improve. Our hospital and their staff, our doctors and their nurses and staff, and all others support has greatly enhanced our entire healthcare system in Union County during the past 15 years.

These three (3) UC Commissions claim the purpose to sell the CMC-Union property is to pay down UC debt, when in fact these commissioners have never seen any spending project they didn’t like, except with the current CMC-Union organization.

Just as I believe SCOTUS will declare ObamaCare as unconstitutional because (1) There is nothing in our US Constitution which will allow any government to command citizens to purchase any healthcare, and (2) While many Democrat Party leaders on Capitol Hill are declaring ObamaCare is a ‘right’, SCOTUS will declare ObamaCare is not a ‘right’. ‘Rights’ come only from our God and our US Constitution.

Locally, it appears forced litigation will be instituted to ‘stop’ these three (3) Union County Commissioner immigrants. While Commissioners Rogers and Kuehler still have more than 2 years on their elected term, Commissioner Openshaw is up for election in the GOP Primary Election of May 4, 2010. By defeating Openshaw in the May 4 Primary Election, we may be able to stop some of the political bleeding. With the voters help by defeating Openshaw in the GOP Primary Election, Union County citizens will win. Later, UC citizens will then win this litigation in the Judiciary.
