US Troops Still Fighting
Only a few days after Barack Obama declared combat over for U.S. troops in Iraq, American military forces found themselves fighting heavily armed terrorists attacking the Iraqi Military Headquarters in Bagdad. Dozens were wounded and 12 people were killed in the battle. As reported before, this should come as no surprise to anyone, except maybe a few ‘head in the sand’ liberals. Iraqi’s who feared the U.S. withdrawal was premature, are having their fears confirmed. More on this story can be found HERE.
I also learned today that the new Iraqi Constitution contains Sharia Law as the supreme law of their land. If this is what these people want, I have to ask myself if this war was worth it and if it is worth continuing? I believe it was worth taking Saddam Hussein out of power and keeping the battle on their land, not ours. I don’t know if it was worth helping a country form a so-called ‘democracy’ that still has Sharia Law as it’s primary source of governing it’s people.
