Open Letter To Sue Myrick On Her Debt Deal Vote‏

|

Dear Sue,

I hope you and the family are well.

As one who has been a “Sue” supporter since your campaign against Harvey Gantt for Charlotte Mayor (on which I worked as a volunteer), I need to write to tell you how disappointed I am in your recent vote to increase the federal debt limit.

We now see a partial effect of your vote in the stock market crash following the credit downgrade by S&P. While President Obama and other administration officials threatened default on our obligations, and threatened seniors that they would not receive their Social Security checks, it is clear to many of us that this President is sticking to his Saul Alinsky training to collapse the system from within. The only way to have stopped this man from continuing his assault on American capitalism and freedom was to stop him and his socialist friends in Congress from spending more money and growing the size of our debt.

But you voted not to stop the growth of government when you had the opportunity to do so…you bought in to the threats of default, even though we have the cash flow to pay current obligations, and the result is the continued growth of government by trillions of dollars due to base line budgeting even with supposed “cuts” that may or may not happen.

I hope you now see the error in your support of the debt increase “deal” but the worst may be yet to come in having to approve a deal for future debt increase proposed by a “super committee,” or face drastic cuts in defense spending and tax increases.

If you are to continue to receive my support, I expect no future debt increase votes.

Thank you for your service,

Mike Love
