LPMeck is excited to present the 2012 Libertarian Party of Mecklenburg County Convention on Wednesday, February 22nd at 7:00pm at Fox & Hound Uptown. This is the most important meet-up of 2012 so make sure you don’t miss it! As always, anybody is welcome to attend (not just registered libertarians). We encourage everybody to drop-in and learn what LPMeck is about.
Special Keynote Speaker
The Executive Committee is very excited to welcome this year’s keynote speaker – Radio Host, Keith Larson.
Keith is one of the area’s most popular media personalities and is Charlotte’s (and probably the region’s) only libertarian-minded Radio/TV host. His independent criticisms and observations are a breath of fresh air in a perpetually close- minded and partisan media.
Politicians, entertainers and just about anybody is fair game for his sharp and witty satire. Keith can be heard Mon – Fri, 9am-12noon on WBT radio (1110 AM) which reaches much of the Eastern US. (http://www.wbt.com/larson)
In addition to our speaker, our Chairman will layout the progress that LPMeck has made in growing the party over the last 12 months and what still needs to be done to help elect libertarians to local office and spread our message of individual liberty, free markets, and limited constitutional government. We will be selecting delegates to the 2012 LPNC state convention, discussing fundraising and charity events planned for later this year, and informing and recruiting candidates to run for 2012 local offices. As always, there will also be plenty of time for food, drinks, and socializing with liberty-minded people. There is no cost to attend, but we are asking for a $5 contribution/person to cover our room and other associated costs.
Remember, any organization is only as effective as its members and its message.
