My Take on Congressional District 8 Run-Off
We have done so much since late 2008. We converged on Washington DC with an estimated 1 million activists. Then we turned our attention to politics and began the long and determined effort to place constitutional conservatives into elected offices…….from Main Street to Washington DC.
Being at the heart of conservative activism, I have seen firsthand the determination and sacrifice of so many volunteers, many who have set aside their “normal” activities, giving all they have for the cause of freedom, but as hard as it may sound, we must keep giving. The good news is that we are battle hardened, determined and very effective. Our march to victory will now continue through July 17 and ultimately on to November 6th! We have to do this together. It really is about doing our part close to home, for the good of our great nation. I know you feel as I do that a good fight now will save us from the horrible consequences of America made in the image of Barak Obama. Unfortunately we must also battle entrenched elements of an establishment that gives no apology for the America they have given us, but we will keep educating them and live with a hope that they will get it.
Here is a little information you need so that you have the right perspective on the runoff election in the 8th district. Richard Hudson is now claiming Scott Keadle is a Washington insider and an establishment candidate because he received an influx of money at the last minute. Wow, isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black! Here is the truth for you. That money came from the Club for Growth, which backs non- establishment candidates. Since Richard Hudson didn’t get that endorsement it is pretty clear who the non-establishment candidate is. It is a fact that Richard Hudson has received hundreds of thousands from Washington lobbyists and other establishment insiders. Eric Canter, house majority leader, is one of them. How much closer to being an “insider” or “establishment candidate” can you get? Add to that, it is clear they know you and I are concerned about “establishment” candidates so they came out of the gate trying to make you believe Scott is the bad guy. What’s worse, it’s an outright lie! Scott Keadle has relied mostly on donations and hard work from people like you and I. I applaud Scott and the Club for Growth for having the guts to stand up to the establishment!
I talked to Scott today and our conversation was very frank about public debates, where we are as a nation and some of his other views and I can tell you this guy is tough as nails! He has a strong and determined personality as well as the right solutions for our country. If he were working on my teeth, with what I know about him I would plead with him to not think about politics while he was in my mouth! I wholeheartedly endorse him and have the utmost confidence in his ability to effectively argue our case in the halls of congress!
Remember, early voting starts June 28 and ends on July 14th. Election Day is July 17th. All this will run through Memorial Day and the 4th of July Holidays. We have no time to stand idly by; we must prepare now, we must commit now! We need a candidate of the people and Scott Keadle is the only option for the 8th in NC.
