Thoughts on Cairo and Libya Attacks
Many supporters of the Right to Bear Arms often express frustration against the United Nations when they see the (in)famous statue below that resides outside the UN headquarters in New York. Ultimately, for me at least, the conversation boils down to something simple and direct like, “We need to kick the UN the hell out of our country.”

Of course, being civilized people, we express our frustrations and move on. Meaning, we don’t take matters into our own hands.
But what if the UN passes, and the US ratifies, the UNITED NATIONS ARMS TRADE TREATY that is being considered? A treaty which would undeniably set the US on path to destroying the Second Amendment, along with the rest of our national sovereignty.
What if the UN, along with the Obama administration, set us on a path that forced us to live out the age old motto, “From my cold, dead hands” ….
Would we, in the interest of our own sovereignty and rights then take matters into our own hands?
Well, let me ask this question. What would be the difference between us doing that – in effect taking matters into our own hands (as our Founding Fathers did) and what these people below are doing? Think about that as you read the news today relating to the overthrow of the US embassy in Cairo yesterday and the murder this morning of the US ambassador to Libya by citizens of those countries who have witnessed the US’ involvement in the overthrow of their entire governments and sovereignty.
We may not like what we see in this photo, nor the stories of the hatred toward Americans coming from the Middle East. But it is worth asking ourselves how we would react if a foreign nation or international organization came on to our shores, set up camp, and started telling us what to do.
As I have said, Americans have two speeds: Lazy, and Violent. The UN – and any other country who thinks they can come in here and take our guns or our sovereignty away from us better heed the words, “Get the hell out of our country ’cause you can have my guns when you pry them from my cold dead hands” while we’re still feeling civilized.
The media will call these people terrorists. They will say those who ripped down our flag and killed our ambassador do not stand for freedom. Well, if the shoe was on the other foot I guess they would just have to call me – and I’m sure many others as well – terrorists too.
Think about it when you read the news today.
