International Music Scene Finally Hits Charlotte

Ok, so this has nothing to do with politics at all, but in support of both Charlotte’s reputation and my personal music affiliations, I can’t think of a time when I was any more excited than right now. On May 13, the Fillmore Charlotte will host three of my favorite bands….Nightwish, Delain, and Sabaton.  These […]

Kostrzewa is a 19 year veteran of NC politics currently working for Capital Results, a “full-service public affairs and business consulting firm with offices in the state […]

Greece is the Word: Here We Go Again

There isn’t any doubt that the IMF imposed austerity programs have been a leading cause of the deterioration of the Greek’s standard of living and the subsequent violent social unrest. Unfortunately the new government is most shortsightedly confusing the symptoms with the disease. Rather than face the harsh realities of bankruptcy, enduring the pain of […]

More Police Pretentiousness

One can only guess what the NC Highway Patrol is telling their patrolmen these days or, for that matter, what type person they’re allowing to wear the uniform. I give you this example. Recently an acquaintance of mine was driving along NC 49 in Cabarrus County. A HP trooper moved into position in front of […]

Republicans in the General Assembly are becoming ever more creative in figuring out ways to separate people from their money.  First we are told that the state is “oh so broke” and only toll lanes and HOT lanes can possibly solve our nagging infrastructure problems.  Now, the same folks are advocating for higher gas taxes, […]

The Con Con Con

I’d be willing to bet that the U.S. Constitution is not the #1 topic of your conversations today.  It’s one of those things you take for granted, like the sunrise… it’s there supporting you, but you don’t think about it too much.  What you don’t know is that the Constitution is very much the topic […]
