“Armed Guards” in Schools to Protect Our Children In Schools Is NOT the BEST Idea!
When the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre suggested using “armed guards” to protect the children in our schools, the usual anti-self protection Democrats and their shills in the “news” media immediately launched into another one of their vicious smear campaigns against LaPierre designed to change the subject and shut down any discussion or debate, even that which would include solutions to mass shootings in schools, etc.. Not ONCE did any of these detractors actually point out WHY guards was not a good ideal!
It’s probably because they do not WANT solutions. If they actually did, they would not have initiated this smear and actually engaged in an adult discussion. If they really did not want these mass shootings, they would have ended the absurd “gun free zone” idea after Columbine massacre at the latest. To continue them, and for so long, is a sign that the people behind them are either terminally naive to believe evil monsters bent on killing would pay attention to the signs; or they are inhumanly cynical to set these up to specifically encourage these shooting “incidents”.
What would then be the purpose of such a thing? The answer is obvious. These massacres provide them with the “moral justification” for ever-expanding encroachments on the Second Amendment, ultimately leading to gun confiscation once they force everyone who owns a gun to get it registered. For it is their fellow citizens with the ability to protect themselves who stand in the way of them gaining absolute power; and the very fact that the Democrats invariably roll out anti-gun legislation after every inevitable shooting is certainly ample evidence of their motives.
Believe it or not, after the vicious attack on Wayne LaPierre for suggesting we use armed guards to protect the children in our schools (like we do for Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Michael Bloomberg, Diane Feinstein, Congress in general, for entertainment and Hollywood elites, to protect money, museums, ad nauseum….all except for schools) guess what the parents in Newtown CT just voted for? THE PARENTS IN NEWTOWN CT JUST VOTED TO SUPPORT ARMED GUARDS IN THEIR SCHOOLS!!! The parent’s message has been delivered loud and clear. Now it’s up to the school board, the politicians, etc. to come up with a plan or not that includes armed protection for our children in schools. But despite the slime campaign against the NRA, the message IS getting through to people who can think rationally.
In my opinion, however, there should be no armed guards per se…..just armed ANYBODY! Why should we MARK, i.e., wave a red flag, over who “the” guard might be so someone attacking a school knows exactly who to target and eliminate first? With my “Anybody” guard rule, they could be teachers, the principle, custodians, office and cafeteria workers, the guy cutting the grass, any or all of them. They would be regular staff, but also all volunteers and trained CCL holders, ready to protect themselves and our kids. They could also be spare time or retired police officers, just not in uniform.
With no uniformed “armed guards” to target, etc., any wackjob with a gun would have absolutely NO IDEA FROM WHO OR WHERE THEIR FATAL BULLET WOULD BE COMING FROM! ! The uncertainty would be a powerful deterrent. No longer would a Cho, or a Lanza, or a Holmes, or a Loughner be presented with a target rich environment filled only with unarmed, defenseless targets to mow down.
I have heard the idea of an “armed guard” dismissed since there was an “armed guard” in Columbine High School and that did not stop the shooters! This response is at best disingenuous! This claim is simply smoke and BS from the usual smoke and BS crowd. True there was an armed guard at Columbine, but Dillon and Klebold first learned his work schedule, AND HIT THE SCHOOL WHEN THE GUARD WENT HOME FOR LUNCH! I think this establishes beyond a doubt that guards are a deterrent!
We need to take the initiative and stay on the offensive in promoting ideas that will actually deter shooters. But remember the people we are dealing with believe that a woman lying dead in an alley, raped and then strangled, with her own pantyhose, is morally superior to one who blew the bastard away. We need to connect to the parents and win the battle of ideas.
