First Footin At Rural Hill

Upwards of 200 people kicked off the New Year by participating in the 14^th Annual First Footin at Rural Hill, a 5K hike and celebration of Hogmanay, the traditional Scottish New Year celebration of good will and good fortune. The hike was accompanied by the preparation and serving of “stone soup,” along with tales of folklore and heritage.
