He has written countless articles for publications such as The Leader, The Huntersville Herald, and the Rhino Times. Described by City Councilman Warren Cooksey as, "The only person I know who finds the Libertarian party too intrusive", Lewis has been a candidate for local school board, county commission, and as the Libertarian nominee for NC Secretary of State where he finished third to Richard Petty's second.
