A “November Surprise” Indeed
This most certainly isn’t designed to add insult to injury, but sometimes politicians are so over the top that by not pointing it out we would be doing a disservice to you, our readers.
This Facebook event was created just a few days ago. It is a call for voters to turn out on Election Day. You’ll notice immediately the portrait of President Obama and the page title “November Surprise!!!!!”
There’s a surprise alright.
The next thing you’ll notice is the text of the event, which in purely partisan terms proclaims the following:
Well the Pundits are predicting a huge step backwards on November 2nd. Many candidates are running on the platform of reversing the progress we have made in the last 2 years. President Obama NEEDS YOU and your friends to vote so that he can maintain his vision of Hope and Change. Since his election, the DOW has rebounded from the low 7000’s to over 11,000, unemployment is still high, but we are creating more jobs than we are losing and much of the unemployment rate is attributed to people had given up under the previous administration. Yesterday I read several news reports that said AFRICAN AMERICANS are the key to keeping majorities in the US House and Senate. The naysayers are saying that people of color are going to stay home on Election Day. If true, it will spell disaster for our country! Many candidates are ready to repeal Health Care Reform, keep taxes low for the wealthiest 2%, and further erode your civil rights.
Well, there you go. Nothing you wouldn’t expect to see from a misinformed liberal Democrat advocate.
So, who is this Democrat?
Well, um, it’s Judge Tim Smith.
You’ll remember Judge Smith from his recent mailer espousing why so many Republican leaders have decided to pull the lever for him. Leaders, mind you, that shall remain nameless.
Apparently that tactic didn’t work out so well for him and he’s now attempting to swing back in the other direction in an effort to appeal to his true base.
It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
