Saturday Night House Party
Driving home from the mountains this morning I kept seeing signs for the Folkmoot Festival in Waynesville, which put me in sort of a “folky-ballady” mood. I broke out the iPod and pulled up a few of my favorite bands which occasionally break from their normal genre to have some fun with an accoustic folky tune or ballad. Here’s three that came to mind.
Let’s start with Elvenking’s “On the Morning Dew”.
Next, I pulled some Blind Guardian for “The Bard’s Song”.
Finally, a little Scandinavian influence with “The Islander” by Nightwish.
