Liberal Hypocrisy Alive & Well In Charlotte
Over the weekend thousands of people traveled from all over the country to camp overnight in their cars and stand in long lines to get free tickets to Obama’s upcoming acceptance speech at Bank of America stadium.
Yet we can’t pass Voter ID laws because, according to the Democratic Party, it places too much of a burden on their constituents to go down to the DMV to get a state-issued ID. I guess four years is not enough time to squeeze it in to their busy schedules.
Funny thing is, hundreds of people went home empty-handed – after more than five hours in line – because (gasp!) the DNC ran out of tickets. Not seats mind you… they didn’t bring enough tickets. Talk about PPP.
Meanwhile, Pride Charlotte, the local organization for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender crowd, held its annual festival.
Didn’t hear about it? No national media backlash like Chik-Fil-A? Wow. Imagine that. It’s not like there weren’t some high-profile corporate sponsors putting their corporate reputation (and money) behind the rainbow warriors: Wells Fargo, Time Warner Cable, Bank of America, Miller Lite, Coors Light, 7 Eleven, Pepsi, SunTrust Bank, BlueCross BlueShield, Food Lion, Duke Energy, and more.
