The Useful Idiots Of The DNC
Every campaign season is chock full of political hyperbole, misleading assertions and inconsistencies, but in 2012 the Democrats have taken the cake. They will descend upon Charlotte next week and continue their anti-Republican rhetoric. Among other things, they would have us believe that the GOP is anti-gay and anti-gay marriage; fair enough. There is an easy argument to be made in equally protecting the rights of all within the legalized institution of marriage. Fine.
They would also have us believe that the GOP has launched a “War on Women.” This claim is completely preposterous as it is directly linked to the HHS regulatory mandate for non-profits to subsidize birth control. This riled the Catholic church under 1st Amendment claims and the GOP defended their free exercise of religion. Furthermore, the Democrats have been successful in inserting abortion into the 2012 debate, a topic which has long been settled by the Supreme Court in their favor. The GOP position is one of pro-life; opposed to abortion thus restrictive on a women’s freedom of choice. Fair enough.
The Democrats claim that we cannot allow the extremist views of the Republican party to influence our country’s future. The GOP is radical and trapped in tradition, they say. We are to believe, should the Republicans have their way, that gays will not be afforded equal protection under the law as their heterosexual peers, the sanctity of human life will trump a women’s right to choose when to start a family, and fundamental principles of the evangelicals will be forced upon us all.
Got that?
Interestingly, the DNC has authorized a multi-day event in Charlotte designed to celebrate Islam and address topics such as Islam-a-phobia and anti-Sharia sentiment. It is bad enough that the Islamic Center of Charlotte is owned by the Muslim Brotherhood, a radical organization which spawned Hezbollah and Al Qaeda. And it is bad enough that one of the US’s major political parties coddles those who reek havoc and terror around the globe. But, and this is when my head nears explosion, to campaign that Republicans will oppress women and gays while playing footsy with a group that not only advocates such oppression but commits women to lifelong servitude and often executes gays as an abomination is the epitome of two-faced hypocrisy.
What has the Democrat party become? A better question may be, where are the real Democrats these days; the JFK Democrats? Undoubtedly all of the LGBT community, women, and single-mothers are welcome to join in the DNC’s celebration of Islam to better grasp the justifications for female servitude and murder of homosexuals. Maybe there is a lesson here regarding the DNC’s mastery of “useful idiots.” Then again, it looks like the Muslim Brotherhood has their own “useful idiots” in tow.
