Upcoming Events
Monday, September 3 – CAUTION Meeting
The weekly CAUTION meeting will be held on Monday at Dilworth Neighborhood Grille from 6:00-7:30 with a social hour in advance. The restaurant is located at 911 East Morehead Street in Charlotte. This Monday will be a movie night and we’ll be screening (or re-screening if you joined CAUTION and Stand Up NC in Mooresville last month) the movie “2012: They Come to America“. This documentary on illegal immigration by Dennis Lynch fairly examines all sides of this complicated issue and is a brilliant starting point for discussion on the topic.
Monday, September 3 – Americans for Prosperity Bus Tour –
Join Michelle Malkin and your conservative friends from across the state as we highlight the failing economic policies of the Obama Administration with a Labor Day Celebration of American Excellence! The event will feature entertainment and activities for the young and old including beach music with the Craig Woolard Band. There will be great food, volleyball, basketball, mini golf, and arcade style games. There will also be opportunities for concerned citizens to put grassroots pressure on the President by signing our petition and participating in the “Freedom Phones” phone banking system.

Educational Opportunities!
*The ongoing state budget “crisis” strongly underscores the urgent need for North Carolina to adapt significant state budget reforms. For several decades, North Carolina has been on an unsustainable spending spree, with wild roller coaster-type swings along the way. Fortunately, there are obvious ways to reverse this trend. The Civitas Institute has compiled a four part series that presents a roadmap for possible NC budget changes: For Part two, click HERE.
*Come celebrate the signing of our Charter of Freedom: the Constitution of the United States, the document that ensures our freedom from tyranny and has made America great! Constitution Day Charlotte 2012 presents this on September 15th on the lawn at 600 east Trade Street from 2:00 to 4:00. Click HERE for more info!
*Last year Hillsdale College got us started on teaching our generation about the US Constitution. They now have the 2nd part of this with Constitution 201. This new 10-week online course taught by Hillsdale College professors will examine American progressivism: its historical roots and principles; its rejection of America’s founding principles and Constitution; its political successes in the New Deal, the Great Society, and in recent years; the ongoing political debate between progressives and conservatives; and the chance of a constitutional revival.
