Obama Breaking His Own Law?

Obamacare, by law, says that each state can decide to run its own health care exchange or let the federal government do it.  Under that provision…

  • States that run their own Exchange will participate in an $800 billion bailout (via tax credits) to private health insurance companies operating in that state; there is NO provision for the insurance companies to receive such bailout in a federally run Exchange.
  • Employers located in states that refuse to run their own Exchange are SHIELDED from the $2,000 per employee penalty (tax) for not providing health insurance.

However, the IRS recently wrote its own rule stating completely the opposite. They are planning to provide these bailout funds to states with federally run Exchanges, AND, tax employers in those states as well. This is completely in contradiction to the law as written.

However, it would seem after some 30 states revolted and refused to set up their own exchanges, the IRS (falling under the Department of the Treasury, which reports to the White House (Executive)) has decided to completely ignore the law and do whatever it damn well pleases.  And that means you, Obama.

Folks, it’s his law – he claimed it as recently as the first 2012 presidential debate. And now, on his watch, by his command, the law he fought for and claimed is intentionally being broken by his own people. In public; in the full light of day; in your face with the brazen belief that you won’t do a damn thing about it.

The truth is, you probably won’t. Just another sad day in America.
