Herman Cain Appearing at Winthrop University Today
The York County Republican Party and the College Republicans will host Georgia businessman Herman Cain on Friday, Sept. 16 in Winthrop University’s next installment of the 2012 Presidential Candidate Series.
The 4:30 p.m. event will take place in the Richardson Ballroom at the DiGiorgio Campus Center.
Cain, a businessman, politician, columnist and radio host, is running for the GOP nomination for president. Known as the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, he also has been CEO of the National Restaurant Association and a deputy chairman (1992–94) and chairman (1995–96) of the board of directors to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
A commentator for Fox Business, Cain writes a syndicated column distributed by the North Star Writers Group.
“The Palmetto State is where I rolled out my jobs plan, and I am excited to return here to spread my message of common sense solutions,” Cain said. “I appreciate the opportunity to discuss my plans and my problem-solving strategies with the voters of South Carolina.”
On Sept. 16, doors to the Richardson Ballroom will open at 3:45 p.m. and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is free and open to the public.
