Tea Party Leads Battle Against Ruling Class
Let us thank the Tea Party. Finally, a group of representatives who stand up for the taxpayers and the American Way of Life. What they have done is historical and outstanding. In the face of threats, lies, prognostications of impending financial doom and the world coming to an end, they stood their ground. An apt comparison is the Greeks defending themselves at Thermopylae. The headlines should read: Tea Party Wins Second Battle. The first being the elections of 2010.
But actually, despite all the cries of doom and impending crisis, the Tea Party has made only the smallest of starts. Even so, Paul Krugman, a shill for the tax-n-spend crowd predicts financial doom from the debt deal. How curious. The cuts come over 10 years, so on an annual basis are miniscule compared to the stimulus packages of the predecessors of the Tea Party. If Krugman were correct, the effects of the stimulus should have been substantial. Perhaps they were. But the economy is not growing as the incumbents would like, so any negative effect will make it more likely they will lose their jobs come 2012. The tax-n-spend crowd cries foul. They attempt to demonize the Tea Party. They are afraid.
And what is it they are afraid of? Kathleen Parker, who has become another shill for the Ruling Class, makes it clear. They are afraid of the loss of control. They are afraid of the loss of power and money. They are afraid for their lifestyles, which are dependent upon taxes and the work of others. They are afraid of a return to freedom and personal responsibility. And this is what the Tea Party is actually about.
The history of the United States is replete with stories of success. Men and women who made a success of their lives through hard work, diligence, persistence and sheer tenacity. This is the collective memory of the people of this country. This is the vision of a future which attracts immigrants to our shores and which other countries wish to emulate. It is a story of: “…Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Yet if one reads the rest of the Declaration of Independence one will find the objections to the rule of the English King have come to apply just as well to the rule from Washington and the various state capitals. Oppression by government, by the “king’s” representatives, is pervasive throughout the country.
This is a major focus of the Tea Party. They realize the promises of the Declaration of Independence are being taken away and smothered by the Ruling Class.
In their partial usurping of the authority vested in Washington by the Washington establishment, the Tea Party has agitated those who wish to rule us; who since 1860 have vested more and more authority in Washington to the detriment of the promises made in the 9th and 10th amendments to the Constitution. The Tea Party should expect and welcome these attacks, these vitriolic affronts to their humanity, because in making the attacks the Ruling Class is admitting the power of the Tea Party.
Yet it is the Tea Party which represents historic America: The land of the free; the home of the brave. Those who oppose the Tea Party do not believe in freedom, or wish to join the Ruling Class. They seek a free ride upon the efforts of those who have made this country the strong, vibrant nation it has been and, if the Tea Party has their way, will become again.
We should thank the Tea Party and support them in their continued efforts, because we are in a war. It is a war for your right to live your own life, where the other side, those who would control your life, will never give up. It is a war for the promises made in the Declaration of Independence and in the Preamble to the US Constitution. But it is a war; and your lives and the lives are your children and your children’s children are what is at risk.
