McCain Flip-Flops Way To AZ Win

|

The odds, and big-time money, were against J.D. Hayworth pulling out a win in Arizona’s Republican primary, but the 27-point clobbering he took from John “I was a maverick for amnesty before I wasn’t a maverick against it” McCain came as a surprise.

The fact that McCain blew through upwards of $21 million and sold out his political soul with more flips-flops than a mutant love child of John Kerry and Jimmy Buffett, maybe, just maybe, had something to do with it. Ya think?

  1. Mark, this is so ‘right-on’. This was going to be my next input to “Be a Pundit”. I could not believe that McCain was able to pull this off. J.D. had him by a few points up until a few weeks ago. Some of Obama and Clinton’s teflon must have rubbed off on McCain with all of that ‘reaching across the aisles’ that McCain was so in favor of. I bet John McCain still doens’t have a clue how much better his numbers were in the Presidential election because of Sarah Palin. I know WAY too many people who were not one bit interested in voting until she stepped in. Yet (I don’t know about now) he blamed her for his loss. At least the Arizonians were smart enough to re-nominate Jan Brewer.

  2. Despite the fact that Palin rubs lots of people the wrong way, Sarah certainly talks about common sense solutions to the considerable challenges our country faces. I do not agree with all the things Sarah says, but it will be quite interesting to see how well she does should she run for President.
