Feds Sniffing Around NCDOT

|

Along with, not surprisingly, a boatload of folks tied to some of the state’s top Democrats, including former Gov. Mike Easley, again, and former Senate leader Tony Rand.

The N&O breaks it down here – be sure to read the link on Law Enforcement Associates:

Federal investigators have issued a subpoena for next week’s grand jury that seeks a range of information touching on state Department of Transportation people and issues in relation to former Gov. Mike Easley.

In addition, the subpoena indicates that feds are seeking information about Law Enforcement Associates, a company that has been in the news because of its ties to former state Sen. Tony Rand.

Any Republican with an ounce of sense running for state office this year has an easy ad buy: find a picture of their opponent smiling like a fat cat, standing with an arm looped around Easley, Rand, Perdue, et. al., roll the reams of headlines screaming corruption, cue ominous background music, layered with a simple voice-over: More of the same.
