Take A Swing At Voting
Don’t get me wrong: I like sports, even ones that require grown men to wear goofy-looking clothes and chase after a little white ball with a club. But it says something about our culture when the Quail Hollow Championship produces attendance numbers better than those projected for a pivotal Primary Election.
There’s a lot at stake today, so get out and vote. Polls open at 6:30 a.m. and anybody standing in line before they close at 7:30 will be allowed to cast a ballot. If it makes you feel any better, wear a hideous pair of plaid pants and a bright checkered shirt – although you might want to leave the club at home.
