Would be nice to know how the Democrat majority on the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners is feeling about the turbo-charged revenue projections it concocted to beef up the county budget, what with an ongoing commercial sector real estate implosion; home foreclosures in Mecklenburg tops in the state; the Charlotte-area’s average per-capita personal income tumbling nearly 6 percent, from $40,108 in 2007 to $37,372 last year; and local unemployment still tickling double digits.
I’m certain that if they’re reelected, Commissioners Chair Jennifer Roberts and her Democrat colleagues will enlighten the masses, post November, right around the county’s wholesale property reval.
