Basnight Breeding Bacteria
N.C. Senate leader Marc Basnight, a Down East Democrat, might want to reconsider his latest power move to insert big government into every facet of the private market.
Recall that Basnight was the driving force behind a total ban of plastic bags on the Outer Banks, going so far as to mandate that retailers offer cash refunds to customers who tote their own reusable bags. Um, opps. Turns out those reusable bags Basnight is pushing are breeding grounds for all kinds of nasty germs.
