Presidential Mythbusting and Exploding Debt
This just in from the Fact is Stranger than Fiction Department: President Barack Obama will appear on an episode of the popular “Mythbusters” television show, scheduled to be aired Dec. 8 on the Discovery Channel.
The episode, which has already been taped, has The Chosen One challenging the validity of the tale of Greek scientist Archimedes setting fire to an invading Roman fleet using only mirrors and the reflected rays of the sun; appropriate considering Obama’s prolific political use of smoke and mirrors.

Obama announced his “Mythbusters” role during the White House Science Fair today, but he lamented that he didn’t get to blow anything up during the taping of the segment. “I was a little frustrated about that,” the president said.
While Obama didn’t get the chance to blow-up anything for the show, it’s a shame the same can’t be said for his tenure in office. It was announced yesterday that during his watch the National Debt has exploded more than $3 trillion, skyrocketing from $10.62 trillion on the day of his inauguration, to this week’s all-time high of $13.66 trillion.
Sadly, there’s no myth in those numbers to be busted; just our nation’s piggy bank.
