DNC Prom Queen
No shocker here, and officials continue to insist it won’t cost taxpayers a boatload of cash or bring local merchants a ton of headache. We shall see, when any and all paperwork, memorandums of understanding, and agreements between the city and the DNC settle, bringing any possible side deals, subsidies or outright payments from the city made in the dark to light.
If the numbers work, though, and if you can handle the incessant and over-the-top crowing and chattering about how the DNC’s decision solidifies the Queen City’s status as officially world class – which took all of like 15 minutes to commence full-throttle – there’s really not much downside to bringing several hundred thousands of screeching liberals to town for a few days. I mean, you know, aside from the wholesale rioting, general mayhem and what not.
