Where’s RoMo?
So I’m watching a clip of Attorney General Eric Holder sweating it in front of a House Judiciary oversight committee investigating the wholesale and deadly failure of Operation Fast and Furious, parsing words in an attempt to prevent burying himself even deeper into a pit of illegalities, perjury and criminality, and I’m pretty sure I see a familiar face peeking over the AG’s shoulder.
So I hit the trusty C-SPAN archives and sure enough, like the ghost of an old “Where’s Waldo?” search puzzle, there sits none other than CMPD Chief Rodney Monroe (he gets major face time around the 25:43 mark, as Holder gets under way; but don’t miss a pop-up around the 16:20 mark, as Rep. Darrell Issa absolutely blisters Holder and the entire Fast & Furious debacle):
Amazing. You’d think Monroe would have enough on his own plate – myriad CMPD lawsuits, ongoing TASER failures, lost police cars, multiple riots – to keep him busy in the Queen City, instead of scurrying to D.C. to shill for a rightfully embattled Holder.
Maybe that’s why Monroe hasn’t been able to find time to get an authentic college degree like he promised he would, lo these many years ago. Just too busy.
