Bob Etheridge Jumps Into Gov Race
What could go wrong?
Aside from bullying college students during his Congressional days in D.C., Bob Etheridge supported the trifecta of reckless spending and government overreach, voting for Obamacare, the stimulus and TARP. He’d later be tapped by Gov Perdue to oversee North Carolina’s office for management of those same federal stimulus dollars and to advise Perdue on the state’s response to Hurricane Irene.
A career politician, Etheridge has been collecting government checks virtually nonstop for the large part of the last four decades, starting in the early ‘70s as a commissioner in Harnett County, followed by stints as a state representative, state schools superintendent and a member of the US House. He lost his election bid in 2010 when voters ousted him for Republican Renee Ellmers.
That high-pitched squeal you just heard? That would be Pat McCrory giddy as a hyena jacked up on Benzedrine and cheap tequila.
