Obama and Holder Critics Obviously Are Racists With Crayon IQs
So says MSNBC, via “Hardball” guest host Michael Smernconish and Salon senior writer Steve Kornacki, who advance the preposterous and insulting notion that any one who challenges or questions the motives of Attorney General Eric Holder, and by direct extension the Obama administration, in refusing to release relevant information about the disastrous and deadly Fast and Furious gun-walking operation must be a racist.

Kornacki, you know, talks at a frantic clip, which most folks do, you know, when they’re spewing utter nonsense and trying to pass it off as deliberative insight. A transcript follows, for anyone who couldn’t keep pace, and is worth a full read (emphasis added):
Michael Smernconish: Steve, what drives the antipathy towards Holder from the right? I mean, of all the cabinet members, I’ve noted this and others have tracked it, it’s Holder who is most perceived as the surrogate for Obama and who seems to incur the wrath of the harshest of criticism.
Steve Kornacki: Yeah. And, you know, look, it can be uncomfortable to talk about this stuff, but I think you have to consider the possibility that there might be, sort of, you know, there might be an aspect of race and culture to that. Because, you know, you have the Justice Department – well, first of all, you have sort of, you know, the caricature of Obama that gets sold on the right a lot, that he’s this, sort of, secret black radical and he’s looking to, sort of, you know, maybe take away rights or take away, you know, take away this, sort of, you know, money from, you know, white people and redistribute it and that sort of thing. So you take, you know, a prominent black lawyer, you know, and you put him in charge of the Obama Justice Department and I think that’s, you know, to people who sort of traffic in that sort of thing, you know, it really is kind of a lightening rod. I picked up on it, too. I can remember at the end of 2008, early 2009, all those cabinet secretaries having to go in there for confirmation. There was Geithner; he had the tax issue. He attracted a lot of heat and really the only other one I can remember was Eric Holder.
Smernconish: Well, there’s no doubt he’s incurred the same Internet wrath. You know, these emails I still get in all capital letters – YOU MUST READ THIS. If they weren’t typed, they’d be written in crayon.
Obama as a secret black radical? What a hoot, as the president’s policies have made plain and clear that he is, in fact, a radical. No secret there.
That Obama is black has nothing to do with it, expect for race-baiting talking heads like Kornacki. The opposition and antipathy comes because Obama is trying to take away rights and redistribute wealth, or in Kornacki’s words ‘take away money’ (and not, it should be noted, just from white people; liberals apparently think there are no wealthy black people).
The same standard applies for Holder. He’s not being held in contempt because he’s black, but rather because he has refused to come clean about his own and his department’s role in and knowledge of Fast and Furious, specifically how and why the DOJ lost track of some 2,000 weapons, ultimately leading to the murder of hundreds of Mexican citizens and two U.S. Federal law agents.
Plain and simple; no crayons needed.
Color and culture only matter to liberal apologists, who increasingly find that crying racist is the only option they have left in defending the failed policies of Obama and Holder.
Bonus Round: Kornacki, by the way, is slated to become one of four co-hosts for the new MSNBC show “The Cycle.” Leaning forward, you know, and sort of all that.
