A Short Review of Voter Fraud Issues
As the election starts, a short review of voter fraud issues would be in order.
Tuesday’s Wall Street Journal carries an article by Hans von Spakovsky which begins with numerous citations of fraud cases being brought throughout the US. The ones I could check showed it was Democrats being fraudulent. For the one I couldn’t find, I’ll say this: if they don’t report the party of the guilty person, it must be a Democrat.
In North Carolina the print media made much ado about the Republican legislature reducing the number of days of early voting. What they avoided reporting or addressing in their editorials is the fact the total number of hours for early voting remained the same. Personally, I don’t like early voting at all, but obviously many people do because when I came by the early voting polling place near me last night at 7:30, the parking lot was full. It seems the longer hours the Republicans made available are good for some people. But don’t give them any credit. As it was, the CO, the local and state government organ, was only concerned with bashing Republicans in their paper, even though that required dissembling to do so. It makes you wonder how much they lie.
I’ve never understood the issue surrounding having a valid picture ID to be able to vote. Years ago, when I first voted, the precinct poll workers knew everyone, or it seemed like they did. But what if they didn’t? How would they know the person is not lying about who they are? Since we have so many other places where picture ID’s are required, it seems a logical step to require them for voting. Seriously, who doesn’t have a picture ID? But to hear the Democrat apologists go on, you’d think Democrats are inherently unable to obtain one. Well if they can’t get one of those, how do they get registered to vote? How do they get their cell phones? How do they pay their rent? How do they get their groceries in the house? How are they able to operate the TV remote? Let’s be serious, if you’re unable to get a picture ID, you shouldn’t be voting anyway, because you don’t understand enough about the world you live in to make a decision about which politician should be squandering your money.
Then there is the issue of same day registration. SAME DAY REGISTRATION? Where did that idea come from? My guess is Democrats made it an option so people picking up busloads of people without photo ID’s could take them all to the same precinct and tell them to register and vote. (Sounds like a great opportunity for a little palm greasing doesn’t it?) Which would tell us why out of precinct voting is such a big deal to Democrats. They obviously don’t have enough sense to register to vote in a timely fashion so whoever is rounding them up and giving them a ride needs an easy time of it. With Same Day Registration and wrong precinct voting, they could take them to the closest polling place, where it was one stop shopping. Well now they’ll have to plan ahead, like normal people.
Or maybe I’m wrong and it’s the Republicans who are getting carloads and busloads of people who didn’t care enough about voting to register early and now need a ride somewhere so they can do something they didn’t care enough about to plan ahead for. Did you get that? People who don’t register in a timely fashion, don’t care enough about voting to get to. The Democrat busing machine is just an effort to get people to vote who don’t care.
Anyway, for those who constantly harp that there is no voter fraud, or so little it doesn’t count, I’ll end with this. It does matter, or it wouldn’t happen at all.
