Mecklenburg County Manager Harry Jones, who five months ago, embroiled in yet another scandal, was reduced to cutting a shameless video to proclaim he wasn’t leaving his $243K manager’s post any time soon, has been tapped as president of a statewide GovCo leadership group. This from the county’s website:
County Manager Harry L. Jones Sr. was elected president of the North Carolina City & County Management Association on June 25, 2011.
The North Carolina City and County Management Association (NCCCMA) is the professional association for city and county managers and assistant managers from counties and municipalities throughout the state of North Carolina. One of the primary functions of the NCCCMA is to improve the quality of local government.
“It’s an honor and privilege to lead such a distinguished group of fellow managers,” said Jones, who previously served as first vice president of the NCCCMA.
