WBT Dropping Keith Larson
Is WBT actively trying to drive away listeners, or trying to draw a different set of listeners? Don’t know; but the bottom line is that yet another talented, wickedly funny and, maybe most important, local talk show is leaving the airwaves after management decides to not renew his contract. This from WCNC:
WBT-AM radio host Keith Larson, a fixture on the station since 2002, won’t be on-air at the station much longer.
On his show Wednesday morning, Larson announced that Greater Media, WBT’s owner, would not be renewing his contract when it expires in about a month.

“I have loved WBT,” he said on his show. “But I think most of you guys know WBT hasn’t been WBT for a while now.”
Amen to that, brother. Katz, Kaliner and Servatius – quality and class, one and all – gone. Now Larson.
