Bad Night For RINOs and Team BO
Elections all over the country yesterday: In Indiana, voters asked the question, “Hoosier daddy, Dick?” as they kicked long-time US Senator Richard Lugar to the curb. Lugar was the quintessential RINO and a career politician to beat the band. Add in the fact that Lugar no longer even pretended to live in Indiana and the message was clear. He was an inside the beltway boy with loose standards at best. The Tea Party, declared dead by many, came back with a vengeance and worked hard to defeat Lugar, helping challenger Richard Mourdock pull off the win.
In West Virginia, there was a Democrat primary for president. The incumbent Barack Obama received 59 percent of the vote, which would be a pretty impressive number if he were not the sitting president and his opponent was not a guy who is actually a federal prisoner in Texas. Seriously, the dear leader eked out a win, but 41 percent of the voters preferred a con to a con man.
And in North Carolina, voters reminded us that marriage is between one man and one woman – enough said.
