Vegas Trump Card
The circus has apparently returned to Las Vegas, where sometime today Donald Trump will be making a major announcement. As reporters began scrambling to uncover what the big announcement would involve, word leaked that The Donald would be making an endorsement in the Republican presidential primary.
Initial reports were that Trump would endorse Newt Gingrich. Then a bit later there was some chatter that The Donald would endorse The Mitt. As I’ve tried to plow through all of this, I’ve tried to figure out exactly why I should care and what impact it might have. Sadly, I can’t answer either of those questions.
My immediate thought was that there must be a new season of “The Apprentice,” or the paperback edition release of one of Trump’s books. Others have suggested that he’s just jealous of Romney’s carefully coiffed hair. A few even suggested that Trump was looking to exchange lifestyle tips with Gingrich.
Remember that for a time, Trump was actually leading polls in the race for president. Who knows, maybe he still has some juice. We’ll soon find out.
