Momma Bloomberg Targets Big Gulps
Who’s your mama? The answer might surprise you. I know you think that the lovely lady who carried you in utero for about nine months and then powdered your bottom and fed you is the woman you should send a card to, but the reality is that this year you should address all of your Mother’s Day cards to the not so honorable Michael Bloomberg, the mayor of New York City.
Ma Blooms, who declared a few years back that he and he alone would decide if you could shake some salt on your almost illegal steak or put a pat of butter on your black market tater, has now issued the Pepsi pronouncement. At the direction of New York City’s mucho maternalistic mayor, Big Gulps will become illegal. Oh how I wish I were making this up. Bloomie is moving to enact new laws that will prohibit the sale of any flavored drink in a container larger than 16 ounces. What’s next, I wonder? Jumbo popcorn? Foot-long wieners?
And here I thought my mom lived in Del Boca Vista, Florida!
