Santorum Snags Wins, Not Much Else

|

Rick Santorum snagged a win this past weekend in Louisiana. He picked up less than a dozen delegates. Santorum recently said that voting for Mitt Romney was really the same as voting for Barack Obama and then decided it wasn’t. Santorum correctly points out that Romney is a seriously flawed candidate and given Romney’s crafting of the father of Obamacare, it makes it virtually impossible for Romney to discuss that issue in a general election. So far, I agree with Santorum but then he says that the delegate math is going his way.

Hey, I went to the Philadelphia public schools, which means that watching me do math can be a rather painful experience. Once I run out of fingers and toes it gets even uglier. But even I can see that Romney holds a two-to-one delegate lead over Santorum and the primary now swings to the northeast, which is solidly Romney territory. I know that Santorum’s home state of Pennsylvania will also be voting soon, but using nothing more than a sharpened pencil I can see that the math seems to be Mitt’s.
